What kind of pen do you use?
I use different pens all the time. That is part of the joy of it. I rarely use biros, though. (And when I do, I gripe about it.)

Do you edit your photos?
Yes, sometimes (rarely). There isn't any deception going on here: if I edit the photos, you can damn sure tell. I only really use Photoshop to edit an image if the shininess of my skin is making the drawing too hard to see or if I took terrible photographs of the pattern, and then I will change the appearance of the image completely. I certainly don't 'doctor' the images, and none of the patterns are drawn into the photographs post hoc; I always draw directly onto my skin.

Don't you worry about ink poisoning?
You cannot get ink poisoning by drawing on the back of your hand.

Do you copy your designs or take inspiration from anywhere?
I do not copy the patterns from images. For the most part, I take inspiration from my skin and the curves of my hand. I have also been doing this for a very long time (before the creation of this blog, and throughout the quiet phases of this blog) (drawing in secret, la); this is a simple practice, but there are hours behind me and this informs how and what I draw, of course.

As you can probably tell, I do not have very nice hands. But, man-oh-man, do I ever love to draw on them.
